GPUBank vs Vultr
Vultr is a US developer cloud, run by The Constant Company, LLC, with 33 regions. It sells Cloud GPU virtual machines (A16, A40, L40S, often as fractional slices) and bare-metal servers with up to 8 accelerators. Its H100 is only sold as an 8-GPU bare-metal server at $23.92 per hour, or $2.99 per GPU-hour; GPUBank rents a single H100 SXM at $1.85. Vultr has more regions and compliance reports; GPUBank bills by the second and stops billing compute when an instance is stopped.

The verdict
More regions, AMD Instinct and compliance reports at Vultr. Lower GPU prices and per-second billing at GPUBank.
Vultr fits teams that want fractional GPUs in many regions, B200 or AMD Instinct bare metal, managed Kubernetes and SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 reports. For the GPUs both of us list, GPUBank costs 38 to 67 % less per GPU-hour, and it rents one H100 where Vultr sells a full 8-GPU server. Vultr bills by the hour with a one-hour minimum and keeps billing a stopped server in full; GPUBank bills by the second and keeps only the disk on the bill. On the check date, Vultr's API listed no region for most of its high-end bare-metal plans and flagged them as not orderable on demand.

What you see before you pay.
Both sites as a visitor sees them, without an account: the Vultr pricing page as the Wayback Machine archived it on 26 September 2026, and GPUBank's live board. Cookie banners and chat bubbles are closed; nothing else is edited.

- 1The public API returns hourly and monthly prices for every plan without an account.
- 2The product and pricing pages on www.vultr.com returned a Cloudflare challenge to automated readers.
- 3The Cloud GPU docs still describe an A100 vGPU variant that is no longer in the plan list.

09The right fit
Different needs. A clear choice.
What Vultr does better
- 33 regions in 20 countries
- Fractional A16 slices from $0.059 per hour
- B200, GH200 and AMD MI300X, MI325X and MI355X bare metal
- SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and HIPAA reports in the console
- Managed Kubernetes (VKE) and a serverless inference product
Choose GPUBank if
- H100 SXM at $1.85 per GPU-hour on a single GPU, against $2.99 on an 8-GPU server
- Per-second billing, no one-hour minimum
- Stop an instance and pay only for its disk
- All traffic and one public IPv4 included
- Top up from $25 in crypto, with bonus credit from $50
Moving from Vultr takes an afternoon.
Vultr meters egress at $0.01 per GB beyond the plan allowance and the 2 TB free per account, so large datasets have a small exit cost. Stopped Vultr servers keep billing, so destroy them once the copy is done.
- 1Launch the same GPU on GPUBank with a persistent disk in Paris, Frankfurt, Ashburn or Singapore.
- 2Copy data and models with rsync over SSH from the Vultr server to the GPUBank disk.
- 3Run your Docker image or a matching template, check the job, then destroy the Vultr server.

A few things you might be wondering.
Yes. Vultr sells the H100 only as an 8-GPU bare-metal server at $23.92 per hour, which is $2.99 per GPU-hour. GPUBank rents a single H100 SXM at $1.85 per GPU-hour with vCPU, RAM, NVMe, IPv4 and traffic included. A 40-hour fine-tune costs $74 on GPUBank against $119.60 at Vultr's per-GPU rate.
Not from the current API catalogue. Vultr lists the H100 only in an 8-GPU bare-metal plan, flagged as not orderable on demand and with no region on the check date. GPUBank rents 1 to 8 GPUs per instance.
Yes. Vultr's docs say stopped Cloud GPU and bare-metal servers keep paying compute, storage and IP until destroyed, billed by the hour. A stopped GPUBank instance costs only its persistent disk, at $0.03 per GB-month.
Yes. Vultr takes BTC, BCH, ETH, DOGE, PAX, BUSD, LTC, USDC and GUSD through BitPay, plus cards, PayPal, Alipay, UnionPay and wire. GPUBank takes only crypto, including Bitcoin, USDT and Ethereum, from $25, and asks for no card.
Vultr, with 33 regions in 20 countries against GPUBank's 4. On the check date, though, the API listed GPU plans only in some US and Asian regions, and most GPU plans showed no region at all. GPUBank has GPUs in Paris, Frankfurt, Ashburn and Singapore.
Without. Every price on this page excludes VAT and sales tax, for Vultr and for GPUBank, so the two columns compare like for like. Tax is added at checkout according to where the buyer is based.
