The verdict

Kubernetes, an SLA and UK sovereignty at Civo. Lower on-demand prices and per-second billing at GPUBank.

Civo suits UK teams that want GPUs in a UK sovereign cloud, GPU node pools in managed Kubernetes and a 99.95 % SLA. On demand, GPUBank costs 29 to 57 % less per GPU-hour on the GPUs both of us list. Civo has no on-demand B200 price, and its 36-month B200 rate of $3.79 is below GPUBank's $4.15. Civo rounds usage up to the hour, bills stopped instances at the full price and takes cards only; GPUBank bills by the second, charges only the disk when stopped and takes crypto.

09The right fit

Different needs. A clear choice.

What Civo does better

  • Managed Kubernetes with GPU node pools and a free control plane
  • 99.95 % SLA with credits up to 100 %
  • ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II stated
  • Commitments of 6 to 36 months, A100 40GB from $0.69 per GPU-hour
  • $250 in credits at sign-up

Choose GPUBank if

  • H100 SXM at $1.85 per GPU-hour, against $2.99 on demand
  • Per-second billing; Civo rounds up to the full hour
  • Stop an instance and pay only for its disk
  • GPUs in Paris, Frankfurt, Ashburn and Singapore; Civo GPUs are London only
  • Pay in Bitcoin, USDT and 12+ other coins, no phone or card check

Moving from Civo takes an afternoon.

Civo charges no egress, so copying data out of volumes and object storage costs nothing on its side. Unpaid accounts are suspended and deleted two weeks later, so move data before closing billing.

  1. 1Launch the same GPU on GPUBank with a persistent disk in the region you need.
  2. 2Copy volumes with rsync, and object storage buckets with rclone over the S3 API.
  3. 3Run the same Docker image or pick the matching template, then delete Civo instances.
Start on GPUBank
bash
# 1. a GPU and a disk on GPUBank
gpubank launch --gpu h100-sxm --region eu-paris --disk data

# 2. copy your data from the old machine
rsync -azP old-host:/workspace/ root@<new-ip>:/workspace/

# 3. run the same image or template
ssh root@<new-ip> 'cd /workspace && ./start.sh'

A few things you might be wondering.

Yes, on demand. Civo lists the H100 SXM at $2.99 per GPU-hour and a 36-month commitment at $2.49. GPUBank charges $1.85 per GPU-hour on demand, billed by the second.

Only in London. Civo's regions page lists GPU compute and GPU Kubernetes in LON1 only; Frankfurt, New York and Mumbai have no GPUs. GPUBank rents GPUs in Paris, Frankfurt, Ashburn and Singapore.

At the full hourly price. Civo charges stopped instances and clusters exactly like running ones, and rounds usage up to the nearest hour. On GPUBank a stopped instance costs only its persistent disk, at $0.03 per GB-month.

No. Civo takes Amex, MasterCard and Visa through Stripe and refuses prepaid and virtual cards. GPUBank is paid from a USD balance topped up in Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum and more than a dozen other coins, from $25.

Only with a commitment. Civo shows no on-demand B200 price; its 8-GPU B200 costs $3.79 per GPU-hour on a 36-month term and $4.49 on 12 months. GPUBank rents a B200 SXM at $4.15 on demand with no term.

Without. Every price on this page excludes VAT and sales tax, for Civo and for GPUBank, so the two columns compare like for like. Tax is added at checkout according to where the buyer is based.
