GPUBank vs Seeweb

Seeweb is an Italian cloud provider founded in 1998, part of the DHH group, that rents GPU instances of 1 to 8 GPUs and runs its own data centers in Milan and Frosinone. Its H100 SXM costs EUR 1.89 per hour, or $2.17 at 1.1460 USD per EUR, against $1.85 at GPUBank. Seeweb has cheaper spot capacity, managed Kubernetes and a long list of ISO certifications; GPUBank bills by the second, runs four regions on three continents and takes crypto.

The verdict

Cheaper spot and ISO certifications at Seeweb. Lower on-demand prices and per-second billing at GPUBank.

Seeweb suits EU companies that want GPUs in Italy, invoicing by PayPal, bank transfer or SEPA, and a broad set of ISO certifications. Its spot prices are about 60 % below its standard rates and undercut GPUBank's interruptible rate. On demand, GPUBank costs 15 to 44 % less for the GPUs both of us rent, and bills by the second where Seeweb bills by the hour. Seeweb does not publish storage, IPv4 or paused-instance prices; GPUBank publishes all three.

09The right fit

Different needs. A clear choice.

What Seeweb does better

  • Spot H100 SXM at $0.87 per GPU-hour, below GPUBank's $1.11 interruptible rate
  • ISO 27001, 27017, 27018, 22301 and 20000-1 certifications
  • Managed Kubernetes, and Serverless GPU for your existing clusters
  • PayPal, bank transfer and SEPA/RID payment, with postpaid invoicing
  • SLA of up to 99.99 % with penalties

Choose GPUBank if

  • H100 SXM at $1.85 per GPU-hour, against $2.17 on demand at Seeweb
  • Per-second billing instead of per hour
  • Four regions in France, Germany, the US and Singapore
  • Pay in Bitcoin, USDT and other coins, which Seeweb does not accept
  • B200, RTX 4090 and RTX 5090, which Seeweb does not list

Moving from Seeweb takes an afternoon.

Seeweb does not charge for network traffic, so copying data out costs nothing on its side. Its GPU servers are standard VMs with snapshots and Terraform support.

  1. 1Launch the same GPU on GPUBank in Paris or Frankfurt with a persistent disk.
  2. 2Copy datasets and checkpoints out with rsync or rclone while the Seeweb server still runs.
  3. 3Point your Terraform code at the GPUBank provider, then destroy the Seeweb instances.
Start on GPUBank
bash
# 1. a GPU and a disk on GPUBank
gpubank launch --gpu h100-sxm --region eu-paris --disk data

# 2. copy your data from the old machine
rsync -azP old-host:/workspace/ root@<new-ip>:/workspace/

# 3. run the same image or template
ssh root@<new-ip> 'cd /workspace && ./start.sh'

A few things you might be wondering.

On demand, yes. Seeweb lists the H100 SXM at EUR 1.89 per hour on a 1-GPU instance, which is $2.17 at 1.1460 USD per EUR. GPUBank charges $1.85, with vCPU, RAM, NVMe, IPv4 and traffic included. On Seeweb spot the H100 drops to EUR 0.76, or $0.87, which is below GPUBank's interruptible $1.11.

The Seeweb FAQ lists PayPal, automatic pre-authorized PayPal, bank transfer and SEPA/RID. Crypto and cards are not listed. GPUBank is paid from a USD balance topped up in Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum and more than a dozen other coins, from $25.

Per hour of real usage from activation, with no advance payment. Postpaid accounts wait for manual validation, while a prepaid account is activated at once. Seeweb does not publish what a paused instance costs. GPUBank bills per second after the health check, and a stopped instance costs only its disk at $0.03 per GB-month.

Seeweb runs its own data centers in Milan and Frosinone, Italy. The GPU page says all data is processed in Europe but does not say which site hosts the GPUs. GPUBank runs Paris, Frankfurt, Ashburn and Singapore.

Seeweb lists ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 22301, ISO 20000-1 and ISO 14001. No SOC 2 report is published. GPUBank publishes neither a SOC 2 nor an ISO 27001 report, so Seeweb is ahead here.

Without. Every price on this page excludes VAT and sales tax, for Seeweb and for GPUBank, so the two columns compare like for like. Tax is added at checkout according to where the buyer is based.
