GPUBank vs Oracle Cloud (OCI)
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is Oracle's public cloud. It sells NVIDIA and AMD GPUs as fixed shapes, mostly 8-GPU bare-metal nodes, at list prices that are the same in every region. Its H100 costs $10.00 per GPU-hour and comes only as an 8-GPU node at $80.00 per hour; GPUBank charges $1.85 for a single H100 SXM. OCI offers Superclusters, managed Kubernetes, 45 regions and a long compliance list; GPUBank costs less, keeps a stopped instance at disk cost and takes crypto.

The verdict
Scale, regions and compliance at Oracle Cloud. Lower prices and single-GPU instances at GPUBank.
OCI fits enterprises that need full 8-GPU bare-metal nodes or Superclusters with RDMA networking, 45 regions and SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA or FedRAMP paperwork. For the seven GPUs both of us rent, GPUBank costs 70 to 84 % less per GPU-hour at list price. OCI bills by the second but with a 1-hour minimum on bare metal, and a stopped GPU shape keeps billing until it is terminated. OCI takes credit cards and debit cards that work like credit cards; GPUBank takes crypto and rents single GPUs.

OCI prices are per GPU on 8-GPU bare-metal shapes (4-GPU for L40S), with a 1-hour minimum. Oracle does not name the H100 or A100 form factor; we read the 8-GPU NVLink shapes as SXM.

09The right fit
Different needs. A clear choice.
What Oracle Cloud (OCI) does better
- Superclusters of up to 16,384 H100 or 131,072 B200 GPUs on RDMA networks
- B300, GB200 and GB300 NVL72, MI355X, A10 and V100 in the catalogue
- SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP and C5 listed for OCI
- 45 regions in 27 countries at the same price everywhere
- Managed Kubernetes (OKE) with GPU nodes and SDKs in six languages
Choose GPUBank if
- H100 SXM at $1.85 per GPU-hour, against $10.00 on OCI
- One H100, H200 or B200 per instance; OCI sells these as 8-GPU nodes only
- No 1-hour minimum; per-second billing starts after the health check
- Stop an instance and pay only for its disk
- Pay in Bitcoin, USDT and 12+ other coins, no card
Moving from Oracle Cloud (OCI) takes an afternoon.
OCI egress is free for the first 10 TB per month, then $0.0085 per GB from North America and Europe. Local NVMe on bare-metal shapes is lost at termination, so copy it first.
- 1Launch the same GPU on GPUBank with a persistent disk in the region you need.
- 2Copy local NVMe and block volumes with rsync before you terminate the OCI shape.
- 3Rebuild the environment as a Docker image or template, and rewrite OCI Terraform for the GPUBank provider.
# 1. a GPU and a disk on GPUBank gpubank launch --gpu h100-sxm --region eu-paris --disk data # 2. copy your data from the old machine rsync -azP old-host:/workspace/ root@<new-ip>:/workspace/ # 3. run the same image or template ssh root@<new-ip> 'cd /workspace && ./start.sh'
A few things you might be wondering.
Yes. OCI lists the H100 at $10.00 per GPU-hour on the BM.GPU.H100.8 shape, which you rent whole at $80.00 per hour. GPUBank charges $1.85 per GPU-hour for a single H100 SXM, with vCPU, RAM, NVMe, IPv4 and traffic included.
Not from the price list. OCI sells H100, H200 and B200 as 8-GPU bare-metal shapes with a 1-hour minimum. Its single-GPU VMs use A10, V100 or P100. GPUBank rents from 1 to 8 GPUs per instance.
Yes. GPU shapes keep billing while stopped because the GPUs and local NVMe stay reserved, except the A10 VMs. Only termination stops the charge. On GPUBank a stopped instance costs only its persistent disk, at $0.03 per GB-month.
No. OCI accepts credit cards and debit cards that work like credit cards, and refuses prepaid, virtual, single-use and PIN debit cards. GPUBank is paid from a USD balance topped up in Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum and more than a dozen other coins.
Oracle Cloud. OCI Superclusters reach 16,384 H100 or 131,072 B200 GPUs on RDMA networks, with managed Kubernetes and a long compliance list. GPUBank rents up to 8 GPUs per instance and does not sell clusters or bare metal.
Without. Every price on this page excludes VAT and sales tax, for Oracle Cloud (OCI) and for GPUBank, so the two columns compare like for like. Tax is added at checkout according to where the buyer is based.
