GPUBank vs Microsoft Azure
Microsoft Azure sells GPUs as N-series virtual machines inside its general cloud, from fractional A10 slices to 8-GPU H100, H200 and MI300X VMs, across 57 public regions. In East US, pay-as-you-go Linux, the H100 SXM comes only in an 8-GPU VM at $98.32 per hour, or $12.29 per GPU-hour; GPUBank charges $1.85 for a single H100 SXM. Azure wins on scale, regions and compliance; GPUBank costs far less and includes IPv4, traffic and support.

The verdict
Scale, regions and compliance at Azure. A fraction of the price, all-in, at GPUBank.
Azure fits enterprises already on Microsoft contracts that need 57 regions, InfiniBand scale sets, managed Kubernetes, 3- or 5-year reservations and a long list of compliance attestations. For the five GPUs both of us rent, GPUBank costs 72 to 85 % less per GPU-hour on demand, and even Azure's 5-year H100 reservation, at $4.916 per GPU-hour, costs more than GPUBank on demand. Azure bills egress after 100 GB per month, public IPv4, disks and technical support on top. GPUBank rents single H100 and H200 GPUs, where Azure sells them only in 8-GPU VMs.

09The right fit
Different needs. A clear choice.
What Microsoft Azure does better
- 57 public regions in 32 countries or territories
- GB200, H100 NVL, fractional GPUs and graphics GPUs
- 400 Gb/s InfiniBand per GPU on ND H100 v5 scale sets
- Managed Kubernetes (AKS), 3- and 5-year reservations
- SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP and more
Choose GPUBank if
- H100 SXM at $1.85 per GPU-hour, against $12.29
- Single H100 SXM and H200 GPUs, not only 8-GPU VMs
- IPv4 and all traffic included, no egress fees
- Support tickets included, no paid support plan
- Email and password sign-up, crypto top-ups, no phone check
Moving from Microsoft Azure takes an afternoon.
Managed disks can be snapshotted and exported, but moving data out of Azure costs $0.087 per GB after the first 100 GB per month. Deallocate VMs and delete disks and public IPs to stop all charges.
- 1Launch the same GPU on GPUBank with a persistent disk in Ashburn, Paris or Frankfurt.
- 2Copy your data with rsync over SSH, keeping egress volume in mind.
- 3Run the same Docker image or pick a template, then deallocate the VM and delete its disks and IPs.
# 1. a GPU and a disk on GPUBank gpubank launch --gpu h100-sxm --region eu-paris --disk data # 2. copy your data from the old machine rsync -azP old-host:/workspace/ root@<new-ip>:/workspace/ # 3. run the same image or template ssh root@<new-ip> 'cd /workspace && ./start.sh'
A few things you might be wondering.
Yes. Azure sells the H100 SXM only in the 8-GPU ND96isr H100 v5 VM, at $98.32 per hour in East US, or $12.29 per GPU-hour. GPUBank charges $1.85 per GPU-hour for a single H100 SXM, with IPv4 and traffic included.
No. The 5-year reservation on ND H100 v5 works out to $4.916 per GPU-hour, above GPUBank's $1.85 on demand. GPUBank reserved instances are 20 % off for 1 week or 1 month.
Egress after the first 100 GB per month, from $0.087 per GB; a Standard static IPv4 at $0.005 per hour; managed disks, such as Premium SSD v2 at $0.081 per GiB-month; and technical support from $29 per month. GPUBank includes IPv4, all traffic and support tickets.
No crypto option is listed. Azure takes credit and debit cards, SEPA Direct Debit in Europe, and wire transfer after six months and approval. GPUBank is paid from a USD balance topped up in Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum and more than a dozen other coins.
Azure. ND H100 v5 VMs have 400 Gb/s InfiniBand per GPU and join scale sets that Microsoft says reach thousands of GPUs, with reservations of up to 5 years. GPUBank rents up to 8 GPUs per instance and does not sell InfiniBand clusters.
Without. Every price on this page excludes VAT and sales tax, for Microsoft Azure and for GPUBank, so the two columns compare like for like. Tax is added at checkout according to where the buyer is based.

What we could not verify (7)
- GB300 (ND GB300 v6) has no price in the Retail Prices API (query returned zero items); listed in the catalogue without price
- RTX PRO 6000 v6 sizes present in the API but not on the pricing page or Learn page (NC8/16/32/64/128/132/256/264/320/324 ds/lds_xl) were not recorded because their GPU fraction is not published
- Per-size GPU fraction for NCads A10 v4, NVv4 (MI25) and NGads V620 not read on a size page, so those prices are not normalised per GPU
- Single-instance VM SLA percentages were not captured (the SLA page timed out; only the 99.95% availability-set figure was read on Learn)
- Company legal name, headquarters and founding year not captured from a primary page
- Whether GPU sizes in general require a quota request for new pay-as-you-go subscriptions is only stated for NCv3 in the captured docs
- Reserved-instance hourly equivalents assume 8,760 / 26,280 / 43,800 hours per 1 / 3 / 5-year term; Microsoft publishes the term total
