> Exoscale is a Swiss cloud provider founded in 2011, part of the A1 Telekom Austria group, with eight zones in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Croatia. It does not offer the H100; its largest public GPU, the RTX PRO 6000, costs $2.00 to $2.15 per GPU-hour against $1.85 for an H100 SXM and $1.15 for an RTX PRO 6000 at GPUBank. Exoscale offers certified European hosting and a 99.95% SLA; GPUBank offers data center GPUs such as the H100, H200 and B200, launched from the console.

## Verdict

**Certified European hosting at Exoscale. Data center GPUs and lower prices at GPUBank.**

Exoscale suits European companies that need ISO 27001, BSI C5 or TISAX paperwork, a written 99.95% SLA with service credits and invoicing. Its catalogue is mostly older or workstation GPUs, with no H100, H200 or A100, and the B300 is on request. GPU access starts at a quota of zero and is opened by support after a manual review. On the RTX PRO 6000, the one GPU both of us list, GPUBank costs 42 % less, with local NVMe and traffic included.

Score over 25 points: GPUBank ahead on 10, even on 6, Exoscale ahead on 9.

## Questions

### Does Exoscale offer the H100?

No. Exoscale lists no H100, H200 or A100. Its public GPUs are the RTX PRO 6000, A40, A30, RTX A5000, Tesla V100 and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, and the B300 is priced on request. GPUBank rents the H100 SXM at $1.85 per GPU-hour.

### Is GPUBank cheaper than Exoscale for an RTX PRO 6000?

Yes. Exoscale charges $2.00 per GPU-hour on an 8-GPU VM and $2.15 on a single GPU, with local SSD billed on top. GPUBank charges $1.15 per GPU-hour with vCPU, RAM, NVMe and traffic included. Exoscale shows the same figures in EUR and CHF, so an EUR account pays more in USD terms.

### Can anyone rent a GPU on Exoscale?

Not right away. The default GPU quota is zero, and GPU types are activated by support after a manual review. On GPUBank, a GPU can be launched as soon as the balance is topped up.

### Which is better for compliance in Europe?

Exoscale. It lists ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018, BSI C5, HDS, TISAX and SOC 2, and a 99.95% compute SLA with service credits. GPUBank publishes no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report and targets 99.9 % per region.

### How does Exoscale bill a stopped GPU instance?

Compute stops, but the local SSD, attached volumes and licences keep billing. Storage costs 0.00014 per GiB-hour, with a 100 GB minimum local SSD on GPU instances. On GPUBank a stopped instance costs only its persistent disk, at $0.03 per GB-month.

### Are these prices with or without VAT?

Without. Every price on this page excludes VAT and sales tax, for Exoscale and for GPUBank, so the two columns compare like for like. Tax is added at checkout according to where the buyer is based.
